He is survived by: his wife Kelley Hunter of Cambridge; his children, Angela Rardin (Chris) of Nevada, Jesse Golly (Jacob) of Pioneer, Mindi Hunter of Boone and Christopher Hunter (Kristen Elfritz) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Makayla Rardin, Bailey Barber, Rylee Steffes, Brayton Rardin, Laine, Cadence, Hannah, Brandon Golly, Lillian Janssen and Hudson Hunter; and his brothers, Renal "Ronald" Hunter of Boone, Darwin "Dar" Hunter (Denise) of Story City and Gale Hunter (Anita) of Jewell.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - Nevada (1418 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA 50201, USA). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
