We bid farewell to Dick Rector of Carlisle, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 4, 2025 at the age of 69. Dick touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Duane Rector, Sr. and Kathleen Margaret Rector (Kirchner); his brother Eugene Rector; and his brothers-in-law, Don Stange, Doug Arnold and Richard Crowley.
He is survived by: his wife Tracy Rector; his daughter Kara Rector of Iowa City, IA; his grandsons, Milo Strabala and Max Strabala; his daughter Katie Steffen (Jared Steffen) of Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren, Owen Steffen, Liam Steffen and Amelia Steffen; his daughter Danielle Rector of Carlisle, IA; his grandchildren, Mason Butters and Karter Ross; his great grandchild Benjamin Rector of Alma, Colorado.; and his siblings, Mary Anne Stange, Teresa Crowley, Hazel Nash (Volney), Dorothy Gezel (Joe), Janie Bethards (Dave), Patty Arnold, James Rector (Julie), Barbara Gibbs (Larry) and Danny Rector (Bon). He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
