He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred King (Bus) and Alice King (Shoemaker); his siblings, Donald and Nancy (Dixie Philips); and his grandson Ryan Fisher.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Sandvold (Bob), Shelly Fisher, Steve King (Melissa) and Shawn King; his grandchildren, Laura Hagler (Gary), Matt Sandvold (Chloe), Emily Borwick (Josh), Lily King, Ethan King, Connor King and Jillian King; his great grandchildren, Abby Willardson, Dustin Hagler, Amber Hagler, Logan Hagler, Sage Borwick and Benny Borwick; his sister Ruth Friedman; and his nephew Kevin King (JoAnn). He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jerry's name to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (arl-iowa.org) and local libraries.
