She was predeceased by: her grandmother Peggy Bailey. She is survived by: her parents, Paul Bailey and Lynn Bailey; her husband Jon Williams; her children, Luke Williams, Alayna Williams and Cade Williams; her brother Jon Bailey; her sister-in-law Roxanna; her niece Kelsey Cross; her parents-in-law, Rick and Debbie Williams; her siblings-in-law, Neil and Andrea of Colorado; her nephew Ethan of Colorado; her niece Sydney of Colorado; and her pets, Wrigley, Ivy, Loki and Luna. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peterson Funeral Home (415 School St, Carlisle, IA 50047). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Union Park United Methodist Church (2305 E 12th St, Des Moines, IA 50316). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Carlisle City Cemetery (1201 S 5th St, Carlisle, IA 50047).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kara's memory to Sprouts Early Learning Academy in Carlisle, Helping Hand of Warren County in Indianola, or Lutheran Services in Iowa - Persons with Disability Services, organizations reflecting her compassion for people and children and her desire to help others.
