She was predeceased by: her parents, Verlie Mae Johnson and Levy Prentis; her husband Anthony White; and her siblings, Edward Patterson, Leon Prentis, Peggy Wilson, Aneesah Salaam Rasheed, Zenobia Stanton, Vera Lisberg and Willie Manteghi.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Bryant (Diane), Rihanah Burnette and Tammy X; her grandchildren, Saidah Murphy, Bilal Murphy, Reola Murphy, Tremane Williams, Dawn, Shawn Reaves, Nicole Bryant, Monique and Bruce Bryant, Jr.; and her siblings, Ezra Abdullah and Lavoris Onita Jones. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Apostolic Temple (1230 E 17th St, Des Moines, IA 50316). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
