We announce the death of Richard Douglas Lane of Carlisle, Iowa, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 82. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis E. Lane and Gladys A. Lane (Mahin); and his brother Ronald F. Lane. He is survived by: his children, Adoracion "Dory" Anthony (Lawrence) and Robert F. Lane; his grandsons, Erik, Jonathon and Austin; his sisters, Carol J. Athey (Fred) and Linda Hopkins (Nathan); his aunt Phyllis Lane; and his sister-in-law Wilma Lane. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Union Chapel Cemetery.
