He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bublitz and Lucille Bublitz (Wahl); his in-laws, Willis and Phyllis Lau; his siblings, Elaine Huebner (Kermit), Darrel Bublitz (Laurie), Dale Bublitz (Dorothy) and Dean Bublitz; and his brother-in-law Jim Lau.

He is survived by: his wife Debby Bublitz; his children, Nick Bublitz (Tricia) of St. Ansgar, Jerry Bublitz (Amy) of Carpenter, Iowa and Angela Mensink (John) of Lake St; his grandchildren, Sarah Thomas (Troy), Jacob Bublitz, Cole Bublitz, Christian Bublitz (Andi), Madyson Bublitz, Colin Mensink and Carson Mensink; and his in-laws, Marilyn Bublitz and Diane Hanson (Darwin). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
