We announce the death of Dennis Wiederin of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 87. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Wiederin and Rosina Wiederin (Staiert); his wife Darlene Veronica Maun; his parents-in-law, John, Ann Maun, Cleora and Ed Gries; his siblings-in-law, Maxine Bauer (Richard), Gerald Smith and Kirk Rauch; Ralph and Margaret Rauch.

He is survived by: his children, Christine Daley (Jim) of Council Bluffs, Michael Wiederin (Julie) of Carroll, Debra Diver (Brian) of Glen Ellyn and Sue Kirke (Gary); his grandchildren, Jenny Snyder (Trey), Alex Wiederin (Meg), Megan Schreck (Brian), Sarah Diver, Nick Diver (Grace), Ryan Diver, Zachary Hagedorn (Mandy), Jacob Hagedorn (Peyton) and Claire Barfield (Cortez); his great grandchildren, Archer Snyder, Oakley Snyder, Banks Wiederin, Wells Wiederin, Wrenley Schreck, Jaxson Hagedorn, Hudson Hagedorn, Weston Hagedorn, Thea Barfield and Tatum Barfield; his siblings, Eugene Wiederin (Marcia) of Carroll, Eileen Lenz (Maurice) of Decorah, Mark Wiederin (Cindy) of Clive, Joan Goetzinger (Lanny) of Sioux Falls, SD and Pat Wiederin (Lynne) of Carroll; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Vanderheiden (Mike), Patty Smith and David Maun. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
