She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Pietig and Evelyn Pietig (Berning); her husband Jack (Jack); her parents-in-law, Herman and Colette Grote; her siblings, Ronald Pietig and Joleen Gerdes; her aunt Marie Campbell; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Gerdes, Paul Grote, Ralph Grote, Leonard Grote, Norbert Grote, Leonard Sailer, Lyle Vonnahme, Karma Pietig, Luella Grote, Marlita Grote, Irma Grote, Lorraine Vonnahme and Mary Sailer.
She is survived by: her children, Mike of Carroll, Rick Grote (Jill) of Carroll and Joni O'Rourke (Clare) of Slater, IA.; her grandchildren, Patrick, Stephanie (Ross), Nichole, Hannah (Alex), Haley (Ethan), Benjamin and Chloe; her great grandchildren, Piper, Colby, Timber, Easton, Shea and Callum; her brother William Pietig (Judy) of Glidden; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Grote of Minooka, IL., John Rosener (Jeanne), James Grote (Mary Ann) of Cave Creek, AZ, Bill Grote (Nancy) of Withee, WI. and Alice Hamilton (John) of Jefferson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (226 W 8th St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Church – St. John (1607 N West St, Carroll, IA 51401).
