She was predeceased by : her parents, John Elzenga and Hazel Elzenga (Pals); her husband Gene Mackey; and her brother Gordon Elzenga. She is survived by : her son Brian Mackey (Tracy) of Omaha; and her grandsons, Braden and Evan Mackey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church (521 N Main St, Fonda, IA 50540). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
