Irene Eischeid Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Eischeid of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Langel and Gladys Langel (Reinart); her husband Louis Eischeid; her stepmother Evelyn Langel; her grandparents, Mary, Pete Reinart, Clem and Anna Langel; her siblings, Marilyn Langel, Lois Schoenherr and Merle Langel (Theresa); and also, Theo and Anna Eischeid.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Wessling (Gene) of Carroll, Scott Eischeid (JoAnn) of Roscoe, Illinois, Al Eischeid (Lisa) of Halbur, Steve Eischeid (Joleen) of Breda, Cheri Theulen (Randy) of Halbur, Sue Hoffman (Mark) of Carroll, Mary Cory (David) of Ames and Jean Eischeid (Jim) of Carroll; her brothers, Vern Langel (Delores), Denny Langel (Jan) and Gene Langel (Tricia); and her brother-in-law Jim Schoenherr (Carolyn). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (226 W 8th St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (324 W 2nd St, Halbur, IA 51444). She enjoyed volunteering, especially with the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, RSVP, and the Halbur Community Development Corporation.
