He is survived by: his wife Pat Mielk of Carroll; and his children, Mike Mielk (Cathy) of Ankeny, Kathy Marsh (Gregg) of Mapleton, Diane Mielk of Houston, Texas, Carolyn Tingwald (Jeff) of Grimes and Colleen Motsinger (Mark) of Des Moines. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
