He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Baumhover and Dora Baumhover (Fehring); his wife Janice Baumhover (Knobbe); his children, Diane and Daniel; his siblings, Loras, Ray, Merle, Anne, Mary Baumhover, Jane Morrison and Donna Stitz; his sisters-in-law, Diane, Janet and Linda; and his nephew Marcus Baumhover.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Reiss of Omaha, Jay Baumhover (Jan) of Mt. Carmel, Sue Guido (Dan) of Phoenix, AZ, Karla Baumhover (Rob Barty) of Thailand, Julie Mankin (Scott) of West Linn, OR and Jessica Riesselman; his grandchildren, Collin, Tyler, Isa, Justin, Chloe, Morgan, Calvin and Claire; his siblings, Marita Moir (Leonard Baumhover), Norbert Baumhover (Gene Baumhover), Vern Baumhover (Harry Baumhover) and Mark Baumhover (Dean Baumhover); and his in-laws, Anne Baumhover, Marcia Baumhover (Bill Noth), Jim Morrison and Mike Stitz.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (226 W 8th St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Church – St. John (1607 N West St, Carroll, IA 51401).
