He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hein and Golda Hein (Walther); his parents-in-law, Daniel and Frieda Wenck; and his brother Allen Hein.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Wenck; his children, Randy Hein of Carroll, Renae Cook (Don), Ross Hein Glidden (Kim), Rhoda Mergen (Chris) of McKinney, TX and Rebecca Ware (Rob) of Ankeny; his siblings, Gloria Wenck of Lidderdale and Elmer Hein Jr. (Donna) of Glidden; and his sisters-in-law, Frieda Wenck of Lidderdale and Arlette Hein of Colorado. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
