She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hansman and Rose Hansman (Achatz); her husband James Behrens; her son-in-law Marlin Luing; her parents-in-law, Henry and Mayme Behrens (Heithoff); and her siblings, Arlene Behrens (Donald), Phyllis Sibenaller (Peter), Melvin Hansman (Florence), Marcella Grossman (George), Lauris Hansman (Corrine), Robert Hansman (Betty) and Leroy Hansman.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Arthur Behrens (Rose) of Carroll, Carol Luing of Bondurant, Marilyn Prior (William) of DeSoto, KS, Joleen Schon (Mark) of Cedar Rapids, Joyce Dickinson (Terry) of Carroll and Dr. Robert Behrens (Kelly) of Polk City; and her siblings-in-law, Virgene Behrens of Carroll, Robert Behrens, Harry Behrens (Dorothy), Virgil Behrens (Louise), Marie Siepker (Ed), Florine Eich (Harold) and Rita Vonnahme (Erwin). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
