Margaret Tigges Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Tigges of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on March 13, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Oswald (Deacon Dale Tigges) and Teresa Oswald; her siblings, Rita Reicks, Maizie Soyer, Dorothy Vogl, Lola Heim, Gladys Nieland, Arthur, Paul, Charlie, Bill and Lou Oswald; her parents-in-law, Louie and Angie Tigges; her siblings-in-law, Tom Tigges and Anita Tigges; and her great grandchild Noah Economos.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Tigges of Bernard's Catholic Church; her children, Elizabeth (Jerome), Russ (Barb) and Tanya Tigges (Carroll); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Nick), Adam (Rachel), Emily Richardson of Omaha, NE, Angela Richardson of Madison, WI, Jeffrey Richardson (Cedar Rapids), Jerianne Richardson (Iowa City) and Sarah Richardson (Glenwood); her children, Mackenzie (Kevin) and Smith (Fort Dodge); her stepgrandchildren, Justin (Anna) and Brianna Richardson; her great grandchildren, Emerson, Olivia Economos (Clive) and Maya Smith (Fort Dodge); her stepgreat-grandchildren, William and Joce Richardson (Durant); her brother Leon (Florence); and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Oswald of North Platte, NE, Louis Tigges (Lidderdale) and Dale Tigges (Sioux City). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

In lieu of flowers, Marge's family respectfully requests memorial donations to Alzheimer's research.
