With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Clare (Brenny) Vaughn of Carroll, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Brenny (Chief) and Irene Brenny of Luke's Hospital; and her siblings-in-law, Gail Marie Brenny and Scott Forbes. She is survived by: her brothers, Mark Brenny of Bettendorf and Mike Brenny; her close friends, Rosemary Roman (John Brenny) of Annapolis, MD and Sharon Terrill of Bettendorf; her sisters, Anna Marie (Brenny), Fitzpatrick (Tim) of Carroll and Jane Forbes (Brenny) of Johnston; and her siblings' children, Katie, Kelly Fitzpatrick, Mark (Nicole), Brad Brenny (KaSandra), Addie (Brenny), Young (Nolan) and J. C. Brenny.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (421 W Bluff St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at church or with the funeral home for the Clarence "Chief" & Irene Brenny Memorial at Kuemper Catholic High School or the New Hope Client.
