He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kerwood and Mary Kerwood (Cunningham); his wife Ella Kerwood; his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Hilda Schwarzenbach; and his brother Larry Kerwood.
He is survived by: his son Mark Kerwood (Irene Nissen); his grandson Walter Kerwood of Fort Collins, CO; his siblings, David Kerwood (Joan) of Boone, IA and Patricia Nedved (Gerald) of Garner, IA; and his sister-in-law Carole Alexander of Houston, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the local high school booster clubs or to the Adventure West Council, BSA, in honor of his grandson Walter's Scouting journey.
