With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wayne Bruening (Carroll, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Bruening and Florence Bruening (Masching); his wife Jane Berger; his son Ross; his brother Neal Bruening; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Viola Berger (Lange).
He is survived by: his child Ryan Bruening (Sarah) of Carroll; his grandchildren, Landan, Linkin, Amelia and Avah; his daughter Chelsea Bruening of Denver, CO; his daughter-in-law Alexandra Bruening of Omaha, NE; his grandsons, Gus and Hank; his in-laws, Marian and Ronald Berger of Carroll; and his nieces, Jill Pudenz (Chris) and Laura Gray (Brandon). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (13918 Mt Carmel Ave, Carroll, IA 51401).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for a later designation.
