She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Achenbaugh and Vera Lehigh Achenbaugh; her husband Galen Edward Batten; her son Ed; her stepfather Chet Davis; her sister Nancy Schroder (Richard); her sister-in-law Juanita Achenbaugh; her great grandchild Hunter; and her siblings-in-law, Marlin Batten (Phyllis), Glen Batten (Marge), Wayne Batten, Phyllis Pendegraft (Reggie), Wilma Lewis (Joe) and Lois Corbin (Don).
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Haack (Don), Johnie Batten (Elizabeth) and Julie Tippery (Brian); her brothers, Bill Achenbaugh of Malvern, IA and David Achenbaugh (Betty) of Lake Forrest, CA; her grandchildren, Justin Haack, Angela Kinsel (Doug), Brittney Batten, Kristin Miller, Jackie Johnson (Nate), Jesse Batten (Lilia), Johnie Edward Batten and Jordan Tippery; her great grandchildren, Nolan, Charlotte Kinsel, Conner Bowers, Myrah Williams, Carly, Layla Ackers, Brecklin Johnson, Stephanie, Michelle, Joey Tino, Gabriella, Jasmine Batten and Harper Riley; her aunt Carol Lehigh Sowers; and her friend Mabel Grout. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials in her name to the Macedonia Historical Preservation Society, the Carson Fire Department, or the Dreamland Theatre.
