He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Chuck Koppes. He is survived by: his parents, Harold Gibbs and Joyce Gibbs (Shanahan) of Bernard, IA; his wife Rhonda Gibbs of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Evan Gibbs (Sydney) of Cascade, IA, Mitchell Gibbs (Keagan Moose) of Cascade, IA and Elizabeth Gibbs (Nevin Pins) of Cascade, IA; his siblings, Tim Gibbs (Joan) of Zwingle, IA, Ron Gibbs (Jeri) of Decatur, TX, Keith Gibbs (Carol) of Bernard, Phil Gibbs of Dubuque, IA and Sharon Ehlinger (Lynn) of Maquoketa, IA; and his parents-in-law, Judy Koppes-Betzner (Jim) of Cascade, IA, Jay Koppes of Cascade and Jeff Koppes (Patti) of LaMotte, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A prayer will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home (205 Hayes St SW, Cascade, IA 52033). Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Martin's Catholic Church (408 3rd Ave NW, Cascade, IA 52033).
