With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christina Simon of Cascade, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her mother Elizabeth "Betty" Sauser (Lukan); her father-in-law Merlin Simon; and her grandparents, Paul, Ann Sauser and Leona Cherne.
She is survived by : her father Patrick "Stump" Sauser of Cascade, IA; her husband Mark Simon of Martin's Catholic Church; her children, Bryce Simon (Regann), Brock Simon and Jordan Simon of Cascade, IA; her siblings, Dawn Otting (Nate) of Cascade, IA and Todd Sauser of Cascade, IA; her mother-in-law Judith Simon of Thunder Hills, IA; her brothers, Dave Simon (Dana) of Cascade, IA and Shane Simon (Patti) of Cascade, IA; her nephews, Logan, Mason, Brody Otting, Dilan, Carter, Tanner, Travis, Chase Simon, Evan and Blake Simon; and her caregivers, Diane and Kelli.
During the pandemic she adopted an Aussie Doodle, named Nitro, and for the past four and a half years he has been the greatest companion and therapist to her through her journey.
