David will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He is survived by: his wife Diana Young of Casey; his children, Joshua Young (Brenda) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Amanda and Ashely Jacobson (Scott) of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandchildren, Braden, Brantley and Chloe; and his sister Kathy Kurtz (Bill) of Indianola, Iowa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the United Methodist Church. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Casey United Methodist Church (100 E 2nd St, Casey, IA 50048).
Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the David Young Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
