He was predeceased by: his parents, John Janssen and Gertje Janssen (Ulmann); and his siblings, Frederick, Alma, Gertie, Joe, Herman and Christina.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Coplen; his son David Janssen (Shukarni) of Cedar Falls; and his grandson Alvin Janssen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home (1825 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
