With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Rae Dean of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Barbara, born on April 2, 1947, passed away on July 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hughes and Beulah "Beep" Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Casey Alan Dean; her sons, Chad Dean (Kellie), Chris Dean (Tammi) of Cedar Falls and Travis Dean (Susan) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Madeline, Carter, Andrew, Samantha, Garrett, Kaelee, Austin, Wesley and Cameron; her great grandchildren, Paxton, Phoebe, Mila, Atlas and Cohen; and her brothers, Rod Hughes (Ruth), Kirby Hughes (Barbara) and Gordon Hughes (James). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear neighbors, and cherished friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be designated to charities that were especially meaningful to Barb.
