With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice King of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Hodge and Hazel Daniels Hodge; her former husband Earl A. Mackenburg; her husband Norman A. King, Sr.; and her siblings, Dean Hodge and Vera Robison.
She is survived by: her son Neal Mackenburg (Laura) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Arik Mackenburg and Kristin Mackenburg; and her great grandchild Baylor Brecht-Mackenburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces.
