She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Leroy Dalen and Nancy Lou Dalen (Strubel) of Waterloo, IA.; her sister Debra Buckendahl (Dalen); and her granddaughter Dana Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Crystal Hoffman (Collin) of Waterloo, IA, Joshua Spragg (Haley), Lisa Ransom (Mike) of Indianola, IA and Carmen Tripp (Rick) of Humboldt, IA. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service West Ridgeway (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (3712 Cedar Heights Dr, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
Memorial contributions may be directed in Cheryl's name to her family which will be designated elsewhere at a later date in her name.
