With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claire James Merfeld of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Bristow, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Merfeld and Carrie Merfeld (Stewart); his son Jay; and his grandson Todd. He is survived by : his sons, Bruce Merfeld (Peggy) of Cedar Falls and Dan Merfeld (Nancy) of Elburn, Illinois; his daughter-in-law Christy Merfeld of Cedar Rapids; and his brother Dean Merfeld. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
