It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Constance J. Byrnes of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irwin Ellingson and Vivian Ellingson (Merritt); her husband David Byrnes; and her in-laws, Lawrence and Harriet Byrnes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dave Ellingson of Webster City, IA and Florine "Lori" Rule of Waterloo; her siblings' children, Julie Rule-Ong (Kiah) of Lombard, IL, Brad Rule of Waterloo, Andy Ellingson (Angie) of Bettendorf, IA, Pete Ellingson (Liz) of Centennial, CO and Ben Ellingson (Alicia) of Libertyville, IL; and her cousin Dennis Johnson (Susan) of Marion, IA.. She is also survived by 6 great nephews; 3 great nieces.
Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls or the Alzheimer's Association.
