In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Darlene Ann leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Darlene Ann may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxwell Burns and Laura Burns (Roop); her former spouse Tenny Hanson, Jr.; her husband Justin L. Nelson; and her son Dan Paul.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Klousia (David) of Mason City and Mark Bliton of Torrance, California; her stepson Nysha O. Nelson (Edward Cooper) of Somerville, Tennessee; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Klousia (Jacob McLaughlin) of Mason City.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home (1825 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to C & W Rustic Hollow Cat Sanctuary of Nashua (https://www.rustichollowshelter.org), Nazareth Lutheran Church or the Cedar Falls Municipal Band.
