He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Kelley and Iva Kelley (White); and his siblings, Kathryn, Mercedes, Mary, Sr., Verna, John and Vern.
He is survived by: his sister Margaret Smith; his children, Carmen Kelley (Darwin), Carolyn Miller (Chad), Margaret Hiesterman (Gaylen), Sharon Vaupel (Cory) and Janice McDonald (Joel); his grandchildren, Abbey Young (Kevin), Michelle Kieffer (Zach), Miranda, Morgan Miller, Savoy Hiesterman, Sylvia, Cooper, Scarlett Vaupel, Ansel and Orson McDonald; and his great grandchildren, Millie, Remi, Ben and Emily.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM and on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (650 Stephan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (502 2nd Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
