Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Elaine Bright of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 95, on November 24, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Wegner and Martha Wegner (Wolfe); her husband Eugene Bright; her daughter Tamara Strudthoff; and her siblings, Julius, Otto, Delbert, Johnnie, Ted, Alfred Wegner, Ester Suchow, Vernita Jennings and Berdinia Gardiner.
She is survived by: her children, David Bright (Julie), Marcia Rinderknecht (Dave), Bonnie Bright and Alison Rooff (James); her grandchildren, Erin Heller, Benjamin Bright, Matthew Rinderknecht, Krystal Eastman, Andrew Boyle, William Wonick and Tanner Strudthoff; her great grandchildren, Dylan Eastman, Jackson, Carolina, Madison Rinderknecht, Lucas, Natalie Heller, Lilly Wonick, Ava, Drew, Brady, Hank, Vera, Vada, Danny, Beau and Otto Boyle; her sister Frances Carr; and her son-in-law Jon Strudthoff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (715 College St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens (5628 Waverly Rd, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
