He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walmsley and Ruby Walmsley (Francis); and his siblings, Jim Walmsley and Marilyn Bitcon. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie of Cedar Falls; and his children, Vonnie Nielsen (Jerry) of Cedar Falls, Doug Walmsley (Rosemary) of Cedar Falls, Debbie Miller (Mark) of Bozman, MT and Susan Shephard (Gregg) of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
