She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Smith and Gladys Smith (McKay); her husband Leland Nimrod; her son Darold "Steve" Nimrod; and her brothers, Wayne, Gene and Richard "Kent" Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Pam Gabriel of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Rocky Gabriel (Bethany), Cole Gabriel (Paige), Brandt Gabriel and Dylan Nimrod; her great grandchildren, RJ, David, Anika and Leland; her sister-in-law Barb; her nephews, Randy and Kent Smith (Mary) of Texas; and her friends, Janet and Lorne Bidwell.
