Larry Tonn Obituary

We announce the death of Larry Tonn of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Sumner, Iowa, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 81. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Tonn and Gladys Tonn; his siblings, Virginia Schellhorn (Lorenz), Bob Tonn (Lorraine) and Marg Scharnhorst (Leo); and his brother-in-law Dick Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Dana Dinderman (Scott) and Corey Tonn (Michelle); his grandchildren, Tayler Dinderman (Kayla), Derek Dinderman (Kylie), Haley Dinderman, Brandon Tonn, Katlyn Tonn (Ryan) and Morgan Beck (Zach); his great grandchild Zuri Beck; and his sisters, Marilyn Anderson (Don), Ruby Johnson and Shirley Bany (Bob).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Western Home Foundation in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
