She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Jacobson and Esther Jacobson (Rasmussen); her husband Lester Vernon Oberheu; and her sister Loreen Frisch. She is survived by: her children, Myron Oberheu (Nelda) of Bulverde, TX, Roberta Monter (Marc) of Waterloo, Sharon Even (Jeff) of Waterloo, Larry Oberheu (Sue) of Waterloo, Eldon Oberheu (Michele) of Marion and Joyce Wilhovsky (Mark) of Waterloo; and her brother Donald Jacobson of Cedar Falls. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home (1825 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 3669 Logan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50703.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
