She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Lofstuen and Dorothy Lofstuen (Olson); and her sister Judy Shafer. She is survived by: her son Jason Wahner (Joellen) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Jason, Jeffrey and Jerod Walter (Krystin); her great grandchildren, Jayna, Jenna, Jack and Jacob Walter; her sister Dee Leopard (Don) of Madison, WI; her brother-in-law Bob Shafer of Cedar Falls; her sibling's children, DJ Leopard (Cass), Beth Shafer (Greg Smith), Jordan Shafer and Amber Dreesman (Eric); her friend Sandy Martin; and her former husband Jim Wahner.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home (1825 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
