With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lorraine C. Freet of Cedar Falls, Iowa, whose life came to an end on July 17, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bornong and Loretta Bornong (Reuter); her husband James Francis Freet; and her brother Richard Bornong. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Nicholas (Andrew) of Denver, Monica Freet (Kevin Seydel) of Iowa City, Anne Weber (Tim) of Iowa City, Joseph Freet (Pam) of Spring Valley, Daniel Freet (Brian Blackburne) of Iowa City and Patrick Freet (Shawn Heidgen) of Minneapolis, Minn.; her grandchildren, Ethan, Lauren Nicholas, Sarah, Lily Freet, Keely, Teegan, Joseph Weber and Oliver Freet; and her siblings, Ken Bornong (Jan), Bonnie Moore and Mary Jo Kreger (Bill).
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service West Ridgeway (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (650 Stephan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701).
Memorial contributions may be directed in Lori's name to her family and will be later designated to Blessed Sacrament Church and Cedar Valley Hospice.
