She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert James and Agnes Jean Doidge; and her brothers, Kenneth, Donald and Douglas.

She is survived by : her husband Pablo Luís Mercado; her children, Alicia Margarita Mercado and Javier Agustín Mercado (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Ellie, Nathan Smiley, Hudson and Tenley Mercado; and her sister Eleanor Doidge of Chicago. She is also survived by several cousins from both her father's and mother.
