She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Wheeler and Ruth Wheeler (Crane). She is survived by: her husband Roy E. Shortt Jr. of Waterloo; her children, Laura Shortt of Waterloo and Matthew Shortt of Moline, IL; and her brother Grandville Wheeler (Robyn) of Des Moines.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cedar Falls Christian Church (2727 W 4th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A burial will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the New Altoona Cemetery.
