She was predeceased by: her mother Laverna Bauer; her sister Dorothy Work; her parents-in-law, Frank and Emily Christie; and her son-in-law Jason "JJ" Chandler.
She is survived by: her husband Reverend Mike Christie of Cedar Falls; her children, Carrie Chandler of Waterloo, Sarah Christie of Cedar Falls, Seth Christie of Independence and Adam Christie (Amanda) of Cedar Falls; and her grandchildren, Ayame, Marilyn, Akio, Mason, Olivia and Orrin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
