He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jr. Marks and Anna Marks (Schipper); his siblings, Ardella Hansen (Bill) and Gary Marks; his siblings-in-law, Kenny Mehmen and Elisabeth Marks; his nieces, Darla Ubben and JJ Marks; his great-niece Tanya Marks; and his aunt Bena Knock.
He is survived by: his children, Brandon Albert (Teresa Hellum) of Cedar Falls and Amanda Marks (Bill Kelley) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Aubrey Ann, John Randall Marks, Claire JoAnna and Julia Carol Kelley; his siblings, John B. Marks of Allison, Roger Marks (Joyce) of Allison, Orlyn Marks (Wendy) of Parkersburg, Iowa and Dorthy Mehmen of Baxter, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Shirley Marks of Gering, Nebraska.
