He is survived by: his daughters, Doris Phelps (Ralph) of Coon Rapids and Denise Retleff (Randy) of Ames; his siblings, Jerry Betts of Everett, WA and Ardith Atkinson of Salem, OR; his daughter-in-law Marilyn Betts (Mason) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Bryce Pieper (Cassandra), Nicole Pieper, Jennifer Menard, Jessalyn Ocker, Bobbie Jo, Samantha, Matthew and Kristina Weekley; and his great grandchildren, Virginia, Carson and Lily'Ahnna.
