He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Cobler and Woneta Cobler (Dotson); his wife Bonnie Kelp; and his siblings, Marilyn Hutchinson and Robert Cobler.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Doeden (Ernie) of Cedar Falls, Kari Carney (Kevin) of Norwalk, Kathleen Cobler of Marion, Scott Cobler (Stephanie) of Iowa City, Matthew Cobler (Leann) of Johson Creek, WI and Jennifer Boatman (Quentin) of Bennett; and his grandchildren, Lindsey, Jacob, Laramie, Joshua, Kelsey, Carson, Madisen, Xander and Gage. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
