He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kensler and Ethel Tharp Kool Kensler; and his sisters, Marcia Carlson (Bud Carlson) of Bettendorf and Marilyn Herny (John Herny) of Leighton, Iowa. He is survived by: his son Matt Kool (Amy) of Austin; his grandchildren, Sage Russell Kool and Ava Lee Kool; his daughter Carrie Kool Worthington (John) of Cedar Falls; and his grandsons, Josh Worthington (Sarah) of Nevada and Zach Worthington (Kari) of Minnesota.
