Sharon Schaffer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Schaffer of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on December 24, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Sharon leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Sharon may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Young and Myrtle Young (Morgan); her husband Clarence Schaffer; and her son Bruce Schaffer. She is survived by: her children, Debra Foss of San Clemente, CA, Daniel Schaffer (Jill) of Colorado Springs, CO and Bob Schaffer (Kari) of Waterloo; her daughter-in-law Linda Schaffer of Waterloo; and her brother Dave Young (Cathy) of Ankeny. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
