He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rodgers and Wanda Rodgers (Warner); his son Steven Rodgers; and his sister Patty. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Meyer of Cedar Falls; his children, Julie Rodgers-Shahan (Bruce) of Boone, David Meyer (Kate) of Ankeny, Keri Jones (Buddy) of Holland, Lori Bathke of Cedar Falls and Kevin Rodgers of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Adam, Dillan, Christopher, Colin, Kyle, Mika, Daniel, Tyler, Brett, Ethan, Ashlyn, Keagan, Haidyn, Everly and Makenzie; and his siblings, Thomas Rodgers (Janet) of Coralville, Cynthia, Schwartz of Cedar Rapids, Bonnie Mueller (Bruce) of Iowa City, Barbara (Dick), Donahue of Cedar Rapids, Carol Lancaster of Norwalk and Ann Campbell (Doug) of Coralville. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:50 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1350 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
