She was predeceased by: her former spouse Cecil Stover; her spouse Ewald "Ozzie" Damgaard; and her brother Rev. John "Sonny" Rosenberger. She is survived by: her children, Rick Stover of Cape Cod, MA, Angela Stover of Cedar Falls and Tamera Wahl (Mike) of Waterloo; her stepson Thomas Damgaard (Paula) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Ryan Day, Jason Day, Kaylee Day (David), Kane Magee (Dusty), Kacy Magee (Rana), Jolene Malecek, Nikki Wilkinson (Josh) and Mitchell Damgaard (Claire); her great grandchildren, Wesley, Paige, Santiago, Lyric, Ava, Jack, Landon, Dean, Chase, Cruz, Walker and Maddie; and her sisters, Sally Robinson, Susannah Rice and Mary Kough (Max).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home (1825 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Virginia's boundless love for animals, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society, 1166 West Airline Highway, Waterloo, IA, 50703.
