It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Allison Purk of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Gerdes and Mavis Gerdes (Swanson); his adoptive mother Mavis; his uncle Lyle Swanson; and his grandparents, Edward and Helda Swanson.
He is survived by: his father-in-law James Frank Purk; his sons, Dr. Jeffrey Wayne Purk of Norwalk and Steven Purk (Maureen) of Sacramento, California; his grandchildren, Owen and Jillian Purk; his half-sister Jean Edwards; Jennifer.
