He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Heine and Della Mae Heine (Morris); and his brother Ronald. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Engel (Boike); his children, William C. Heine (Linda) of Naperville, IL, Dr. David Heine (Kirsten) of Decorah, John Hano (Joe) of Upton, MA and Kristie Lehman (John) of Cedar Falls; his stepchildren, Jeff Engel (Lori) of Cedar Falls, Matt Engel (Becky) of Coto and Julie Alexander (Sean) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Josh (Donna), Katie, Max, Zach, Andrew Heine, Matt, Andy, Emily Lehman, Jordan (Melissa), Taylor, Evan (Kathleen), Jason Engel (Colleen), Abby Neill (Eric), Brendan (Haleigh), Sammie Alexander and Haley Fienup (Ben); and his great grandchildren, Remington, Wyatt Heine, Bridget Neill and Emory Fienup.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be given to Cedar Valley Angels (Fostercare) and the Cedar Valley Food Bank; and other local charities.
